"Behind Enemy Lines" (PG-13). Owen Wilson deftly plays a Navy aviator whose plane is shot down in hostile territory during the war in Bosnia, and the ever-reliable Gene Hackman plays the admiral directing a rescue mission. Although that war's complexities are rarely dealt with in the simplistic script, this is an action movie that really moves. Grade: B- (Mike Giuliano) Snowden Square 14, Muvico Egyptian 24
"Black Knight" (PG-13). Martin Lawrence plays an employee at a medieval-themed amusement park who is magically zapped back to the real Middle Ages. The unimaginative script offers nothing beyond the obvious culture- shock jokes. Lawrence has some fun with the material _ perhaps more than you will. Grade: C (Mike Giuliano) Snowden Square 14
"Domestic Disturbance" (PG-13). In this generic thriller, John Travolta plays a divorced man whose ex-wife (Teri Polo) and son (Matt O'Leary) are threatened by the ex-wife's new husband (Vince Vaughn). Everything is so predictable that the movie verges on being unintentionally funny. Grade: C (Mike Giuliano) Muvico Egyptian 24
"Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" (PG). The long-awaited adaptation of J.K. Rowling has lots of special effects magic but little narrative momentum. If it's never boring, thank bespectacled actor Daniel Radcliffe, who makes the 11-year-old magician an Everyboy you can root for. As Harry enrolls at wizard's school and learns to harness his gifts, the movie doesn't go wrong so much as it goes slowly. Grade: B (Mike Giuliano) Snowden Square 14, Muvico Egyptian 24
"Heist" (R). Writer-director David Mamet's sharp dialogue and crisp direction make this otherwise routine crime thriller seem fresh. The movie has a lot of fun with the notion that there truly is no honor among 99 percent of thieves. Gene Hackman, Danny DeVito and Delroy Lindo help make it an enjoyable reminder. Grade: B (Mike Giuliano) Snowden Square 14, Muvico Egyptian 24
"Ocean's 11" (PG-13). Steven Soderbergh's remake of the 1960 Rat Pack picture retains the central concept of 11 cool guys planning a complicated Las Vegas casino heist. The robbery is more complicated and satisfying this time, thanks to screenwriter Ted Griffin and stars George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Matt Damon, Andy Garcia, Julia Roberts. But it's still plot-heavy, with too many characters and little character development. Grade: B- (Geoffrey Himes) Snowden Square 14, Muvico Egyptian 24
"Out Cold" (PG-13). Aside from nifty sequences involving ski accidents, this comedy is almost completely lacking in interest. Broad performances and inept slapstick weaken an already inane plot about a tycoon (Lee Majors) scheming to gentrify a rowdy Alaska ski resort. Grade: C- (Mike Giuliano) Snowden Square 14
"Shallow Hal" (PG-13). Grade: C (Mike Giuliano) Snowden Square 14, Muvico Egyptian 24
"Texas Rangers" (PG-13). Grade: C (Mike Giuliano) Muvico Egyptian 24
"The Wash" (R). Grade: D (Mike Giuliano) Muvico Egyptian 24
