Suzanne C. and Jamie K. Noguchi

Suzanne Caroline Walraff Hartman, daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Patrick J. Hartman, was married to Jamie Kane Noguchi, son of Dr. Constance and Dr. Philip Noguchi, on June 29, 2002.

The ceremony and reception were held at Overhills Mansion in Catonsville. Pastor Sheila McCurdy officiated. The vocalist was Elizabeth Plumlee.

The bride graduated from Wilde Lake High School and graduated cum laude in psychology from the University of Maryland. She is a research assistant in the human development department at the university.

The groom earned a degree in graphic arts from the University of Maryland. He has a fellowship at the Food and Drug Administration.

Honor attendants were Dr. Elizabeth Hartman and Matthew Noguchi. Other attendants were Sonya Vasquez, Amelia Mellon, Karolyn Plumlee, Erin Lance, Patricia Noguchi, Malcolm Lee, James Phongsuwan, Michael Carragher, Henry Marx and Matt Winkler.

Grandparents attending were Mabelle Walraff, Mr. and Mrs. James Tom and Yvonne Noguchi.

The couple honeymooned in Hawaii and lives in Silver Spring.

Julie C. Kickham andJoseph P. Matoush

Julie Caroline Kickham, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Kickham of Ellicott City, announces her engagement to Joseph Patrick Matoush, son of Patricia Matoush of Darien, Ill., and the Rev. and Mrs. Joseph Matoush of Twenty Nine Palms, Calif.

The future bride graduated from Mt. Hebron High School in 1996, with honors in geology from the University of North Carolina in 2000 and earned a master's degree in geology from Utah State University in 2002. She is a petroleum geologist with Exxon Mobil.

The groom-to-be graduated from Twenty Nine Palms High School in 1996, magna cum laude with a bachelor's degree in geology from California Lutheran University in 2000 and a master's degree in geology from Utah State University in 2002. He is a petroleum geologist with Exxon Mobil.

The couple lives in Houston.

A May wedding has been scheduled.

Laura C. andTrevor M. Rose

Laura Clare Conley, daughter of Marion and Gregory Conley of Columbia, was married to Trevor Meairl Rose, son of Sue and Mervyn Rose of Bedford, Pa., on Nov. 9, 2002.

The ceremony and reception were held at Houseworth Lodge in Bedford. Robert Custer, uncle of the groom, officiated.

The bride graduated from Oakland Mills High School in 1991 and earned a bachelor's degree in civil engineering in 1996 from the University of Maryland. She is a senior consultant at the Seva Group.

The groom graduated from Bedford High School in 1986, earned a bachelor's degree from Penn State University in 1990 and a master's degree from Johns Hopkins University in 1995. He is a senior financial analyst for U.S. Food Service.

The couple honeymooned in St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands, and lives in Baltimore.

Ijoma Jide Obi

Josette Darden, daughter of Josephine Smallwood of Columbia and George Darden of Atlanta, Ga., announces her engagement to Ijoma Jide Obi, son of Kate and Professor Samual Obi of Enugu, Nigeria.

The bride-to-be graduated from Wilde Lake High School, earned a bachelor's degree in English from Morgan State University and a master's degree in English education from Johns Hopkins University. She is an English professor at the Community College of Baltimore County, Essex.

The future groom earned his bachelor's and law degrees from the University of Nigeria. He is an independent contractor as an attorney and legal consultant.

A wedding is planned for May 17.

Julie A. andMichael D. Donick

Julie Ann Karwan, daughter of Pamela Grady Karwan of Cooperstown, N.Y., and the late John Karwan, both formerly of Columbia, was married to Michael Dmitri Donick, son of Mr. and Mrs. James Donick of Pleasant Valley, N.Y., on July 13, 2002.

The bride is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William Grady of Cooperstown and the late Mr. and Mrs. John Karwan of Marlborough, Conn.

The groom is the grandson of Andrew Donick of Warren, Pa., and the late Mrs. Donick, and Richard Hall of Deland, Fla., and the late Mrs. Hall.

The wedding ceremony was held at St. Mary's "Our Lady of the Lake" Roman Catholic Church in Cooperstown. The Rev. John Rosson performed the double-ring ceremony, and Deacon Randy Velez served as concelebrant.

Soloist Sara Albright, violinist Kathleen Thompson, organist Donald Embling and trumpeter Douglas Keith provided music. Readings were given by the groom's sister, Ann Donick, and the bride's cousins, Amy and Sarah Karwan.

A reception followed at Brookwood Garden on Otsego Lake in New York.

The bride graduated in 1997 from the McDonogh School in Baltimore and cum laude from Bucknell University in 2001. She is a middle school teacher in Saline, Mich.

The groom graduated from Arlington High School in LaGrangeville, N.Y., in 1997 and from Bucknell University in 2001. He is pursuing a master's degree in automotive engineering from the University of Michigan and is an engineer with Ford Motor Co. in Dearborn, Mich.

Honor attendants were Jennifer Powell and Patrick Kunze. Other attendants were Bridget McDonough, Ann Donick, Lori Villani, Tracey Sochor, Joshua Gish, Bryan Foster, Jeremy Sutton and Keith Scarfo.

The couple honeymooned in Nassau, the Bahamas and resides in Canton, Mich.
